In Abraham's House

Coming out of Shabbat last week (21 Sept 2019), we, the members of the Jewish Community of the Emirates, were met with the delightful announcement that an architect had been appointed to construct the House of Abraham in Abu Dhabi. If there is ever a symbol of acceptance in the Middle East, this surely is it. Recognizing 'Abraham' as the common forefather in Islam, Judaism and Christianity, the House of Abraham - which will house a mosque, synagogue and church all on one campus - will rise in the Middle East as a bold and proud symbol of unity and peace between the religions. This is a testament to the UAE government's commitment to the Year of Tolerance and an important step forward in initiating an exciting new path for Arabs, Christians and Jews together in the Middle East.
