Top picks for keeping kids active in Dubai!

Updated: Jan 7

Kids seem to have endless energy levels and, especially when they’re on holiday, need a lot of entertaining (or maybe it’s just mine)! Luckily, Dubai is packed with brilliant options to keep kids occupied and wear them out in the process - here are my top picks:

Jump around

Dubai is home to a host of incredible indoor trampoline parks! Venues such as Bounce Dubai (also in Abu Dhabi), Flip Out, Velocity, and Sky Zone are mammoth, offering play courts, wipe out courses, group games and more. They’re great fun for kids of all ages (and parents) and will definitely burn that holiday energy!

Play it safe

For younger kids, OliOli is Dubai’s first experiential play museum. Aimed at ages five and up, it offers two floors of hands-on exhibits packed with unique experiences to inspire positive play and imagination in little ones. A beautiful space, this is a great venue to explore with little ones and will encourage their imaginations to run wild!

Xtreme adventures

For older kids, there are a range of activities to let off some steam across the city! Xpark Skatepark is right next to Kite Beach and offers ramps aimed mostly at skateboarders (all supervised). Across all of Dubai’s beaches there are also opportunities to try stand-up paddle boarding to explore more of the city’s coastline. Heading inland, kids can also try their hand at sand boarding amongst Dubai’s desert dunes!

Gorgeous gardens

Miracle Gardens is one of my favourite places to visit in Dubai and it’s a brilliant place to take the whole family. The world’s largest flower garden offers plenty of outdoors space for kids to run around, and they’ll love the brightly-coloured, imaginative structures. Miracle Gardens also has a great entertainment line-up, as well as lots of kid-friendly activities on offer.

Park life

Despite being a city in the middle of the desert, Dubai is actually home to some pretty impressive parks, each with their own unique charm and lots of activities to keep little ones amused! Al Barsha Pond Park is a great green area, with a large pond in the centre where kids can hire pedalos or paddle boats to explore. Al Safa Park is a leafy sanctuary near Downtown Dubai that offers bikes to hire and plenty of games courts. For those looking for something a bit more extreme, the expansive Mushrif Park is home to Adventura, Dubai’s largest zip line park - always a huge hit with the kids, but not for the faint-hearted!

All of the above are fantastic options to keep kids occupied and happy - whether you’re on holiday in Dubai, or just looking for a new weekend activity! If you’re heading on a family day out, or booking a holiday, why not get in touch to find out about my wonderful kosher catering options? From portable packed lunches to tasty dinners and healthy breakfasts, as well as new Shabbat meal kits, there are options to cater to all tastes and age groups!
